Northcentral University Announces Reaffirmation of Accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission

June 12, 2008 — Northcentral University announced today that it has received notice from The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools of the University’s reaffirmation of accreditation. The HLC noted that it has completed its validation process by the Commission’s Board of Trustees on May 28, 2008. Subsequent to HLC visits, the commission asks all member institutions to withhold comments on accreditation status until notified of validation.

Northcentral University Hosts Highest Number of Graduates Ever

100% Online University Welcomes 2008 Grads from Around the Globe

June 12, 2008 — Northcentral University (www.ncu.edu) announced today that 84 graduates and their families from around the globe attended the 2008 commencement ceremonies held in Prescott, Arizona at the Elks Opera House on Saturday, May 31.

“We are extremely pleased to have had so many of our graduates join us for the ceremony this year, more than double the number that attended the ceremony in 2007” commented Dr. Clinton Gardner, NCU President. “As a fully online university with courses starting monthly, our students graduate at different times during the year. This year we had nearly 300 graduate and we are very proud that 84 chose to attend the ceremony,” Gardner added. More...

 

Dissertation of the Year Honors Awarded

June 12, 2008 — Northcentral University this week announced honors awarded for Dissertation of the Year. Each of the three academic divisions—School of Business & Technology Management, School of Education, and School of Psychology—conducted its own search for outstanding scholarly work and awarded separate honors. This is the first year NCU has held the competition.

“We are pleased to honor the outstanding work of these scholars,” said Dr. Clinton Gardner, NCU President. “Our doctoral candidates devote countless hours to literature surveys, to designing studies, analyzing results, and finally writing up the work in a manner that presents their scholarship in a lucid and useful fashion to make a substantive contribution to their fields.”       ... NCU's Alpha Phi Sigma Chapter Conducts Installation

June 12, 2008 — Northcentral University is pleased to announce that Iota Pi, the NCU chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, held its first formal installation of members during commencement festivities in Prescott May 31, 2008.

Alpha Phi Sigma (APS) is the National Criminal Justice Honor Society. Founded in 1942 at Washington State University by 17 Police Science students and Dr. Vivian A. Leonard, APS today has over 280 chapters nationwide. More...
